Senior Embedded Software Engineer (Req. #2006-014)
Job Description:
The Senior Embedded Software Engineer will assume a leadership role in the design and development of routing in the control plane for an optical transport system product line. The include OSPF initially to be followed by GMPLS. This person will be responsible for the architecture, requirements definition, development and documentation. Development will be done using VxWorks tools with PowerPC processors.
Skills/Qualifications Required:
Must have strong experience in developing system software, network protocol and device drivers for embedded networking products in either data and/or telecom space. Must have a minimum of 8 years of software development experience using C and preferably C++ on VxWorks, open source or other commercial real time embedded operating systems. Must have experience working with OSPF. Must have experience working with any of GMPLS, RSVP-TE, and MPLS. Must have working knowledge of TCP/IP, TCP/IP application layer protocols, and networking Must have experience with Command Line Interfaces, SNMP/MIBs, and Management frameworks. Must have strong debugging skills, communication skills, and be a strong team player. Must have experience working with a startup-up. Must have at least 1.5 yrs or more at each position. BSCS or BSEE is required. MSCS or MSEE is preferred.
