Senior Energy Engineer

Our client is a well regarded and profitable Energy Services Company providing both performance contracting and non-guaranteed energy services construction for commercial, institutional, government and light industrial facilities on a nationwide basis.  Projects are up to $12M in size but will usually average $2M to $5M.  A Senior Energy Engineer (Project Developer) position is currently open with this company in the Northeast or Mid-Atlantic areas.  This person will work closely with sales to determine the financial feasibility of the project and assist in developing and presenting the proposal and engineering studies to the customer.  Once the project is awarded the Development Engineer will provide the final engineering drawings and engineering support needed prior to the construction phase of the project.  The Development Engineer will interface with both sales and construction as well as work closely with the customer.  This is an opportunity to join a growing company that will provide career growth opportunities for a high performer. 

The ideal candidate will have 5 to 10 years of experience as an ESCO Development Engineer or Senior Energy Engineer.  Must have a good working knowledge of HVAC, mechanical, automated building control systems, etc. for commercial and industrial buildings.  You should be experienced in doing energy studies for guaranteed savings construction projects and for non-guaranteed savings energy services construction projects.  You should also have design experience with mechanical retrofit projects.  A BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering or similar degree is required.  Professional Engineer or EIT is preferred.  Good communication skills and the ability to work with other team members (sales and construction as well as the customer) is important to success in the position. 

Compensation: $85,000 to $97,500 with total income of $95,000 to $110,500
