Senior Engineer (Composites & Manufacturing)

SPARTA Composites has an immediate opening for a Senior Engineer in San Diego, CA.

SPARTA Composites is focused on advanced material technology which achieves lower weight, improved thermal control and structural performance, and part fabrication costs competitive with current metallic designs. A variety of processes are being successfully applied in the fabrication of complex and close dimensional tolerance composite parts. Items manufactured include missile housings, electronic enclosures, flight components, small UAV airframes and automotive components. SPARTA Composites is comprised of the facilities, equipment and experienced staff to analyze, design and manufacture cost effective composite parts for a variety of applications.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

The selected candidate will be required to handle tasks from bid and proposal to production.  Structural analysis & design, solid modeling, programming experience & testing is a plus.  Candidate must have 10-15 years experience in composites & manufacturing.  Position requires hands-on R&D and manufacturing experience in an ISO 9001 production environment.  Good communication and team working skills are important.  Candidate must be capable of working with customers and technical staff at all levels.  BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent a must.
