-Support the Hot Fill BU?s on front end growth with new packaging innovation and platforms.
-Direct conduit for marketing to the vendors, designers and Advanced Packaging
-Develop, plan and manage packaging projects.
-Work with various PBF Business Units, R&D, Marketing, Operations, Purchasing and Key Vendors to ensure business objectives are realized
-Work with Marketing to define strategic vision of BU. ?Quantify packaging needs and desires.
-Key packaging contact for long term package development that falls out side of current packaging platforms.
-Bring in new technology views from broad and deep experience combining knowledge of packaging and equipment relationships.
-Work with outside vendors, inventors and designers on packaging evaluation that may be applicable the Hot Fill system.
-Lead cross functional teams in the evaluation of a variety of packaging formats feasibility, costs, and complexities and determine if the systems would work with our BU?s strategic vision.
-Develop transition plans for project hand offs to the Packaging New Offerings group.
-Bachelors Degree in Packaging, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
-Five plus years experience of adding value in the packaging field within the consumer food products, beverages or pharmaceutical industries.
-Strong leadership, influencing, and consensus building skills
-Proven track record of leadership in a matrix type organizational structure
-Experience with a wide variety of package materials, systems, and equipment.
-Excellent project management skills. Expertise with Gantt charts and other project management tools. Expertise in MS Project.
-Excellent presentation skills. Excellent written and oral English communication skills.
-Broad technical understanding of food science, packaging, processing, quality systems, and manufacturing
-Strong testing and development skills with a proven ability to reconcile project timing, business risks, and resources, to define a working plan of action.
