Senior Engineer (PH) 28487

Job Description: This is a project hire position that is full-time (with benefits) for a duration of 2 years. At the end of 2 years, this position can be renewed for another 2 years or the position can end (with no severance package). The candidate also has the opportunity to apply to other positions at the end of the 2 years. Apply diverse experience and knowledge of engineering principles and practices in broad, multi-disciplined environments, displaying the ability to make mid to high level technical decisions that affect product outcomes independent of management. Demonstrate proficiency in both technical and administrative environments through successful team leadership and completion of engineering projects at the senior engineer level, familiarity with applicable codes and standards related to the industry and discipline, and the proper application of such. Represent the organization to its customers and clients in a positive manner by being a strategic thinking partner for them, developing relationships with them that are beneficial to the organization and communicating properly with them on all applicable issues.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: (These are the minimum qualifications you need to be considered for the job.)

BS degree in mechanical engineering from an ABET accredited curriculum or equivalent

Minimum (7) to ten (10) years of related experience in the mechanical field

Demonstrated experience in safety critical systems and fail-safe design concepts

Proven commitment to continuing education and increasing technical proficiency

Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills

Ability to multi task

Ability to be flexible with work schedule

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Master of Science degree or equivalent

Proven PE License

Proven Professional Society Membership

Proven Industry experience
