Senior Engineering Draftsperson

Responsibilities:

? Responsible and accountable for the daily maintenance and operation of the Engineering Services Department AutoCAD system and Access Data Base.

? Controls and audits drawing files as they relate to internal changes and maintains accurate documentation records of changes and alterations to the facilities and systems.

? Prepares drawings and documentation in support of projects via direct supervision by the Engineering Management. Provides documentation support for the SOP and CSCR systems. 

? Interfaces with outside contractors in gathering information for the successful completion of assigned projects.

? Assigned work by engineering management, this entails requests for engineering services from various departments.  This person may help determine the feasibility of these requests. Completes Engineering Request in a timely and efficient manner.

? Follows Teva Safety, Health, and Environmental policies and procedures.

? Other duties, as assigned, or as business needs require.

 

Primary Outcomes

? Preparation and review of accurate Engineering documentation to support the adherence to compliance standards required by Federal, State, and Local Agencies.

? Participate in the compliance to both short and long term company objectives, as defined by Engineering Management and Published Company Goals and Objectives.

? Thoroughly completion of Engineering Request in cooperation with the requestor and Engineering Department Management.

 

 Requirements:

Education Required:

? Associate in Arts with emphasis on Design and Drafting operating systems, or equivalent combination of education and related experience 

Education Preferred:

? Bachelor?s degree in Engineering field is a plus.

Experience Required:

? Minimum of five to seven (5-7) years of practical experience on Design and Drafting practices as well as industrial experience in the operation of Autodesk Systems.

Experience Preferred:

? Advanced Mechanical/Architectural Layout demonstrated work experience, including but not limited to Process Piping, P&ID, Electrical Power Panel, Single Line Diagrams, Equipment Wiring Diagrams, Facility Layouts and Utility Distribution.

Specialized or Technical Knowledge, Licenses, Certifications needed:

? Complete familiarity with the latest versions of Autodesk CAD and Inventor Systems and Support Software (e.g. MS Excel, MS Word, MS Access, etc.).
