Senior Global Service and Support Engineer, Hematology

Responsibilities:
This position reports to the Manager of Global Service and Support, Hematology and Immunology and will support the Hematology product line. Its responsibilities include ensuring timely, effective and satisfactory resolution to customer technical issues and complaints worldwide. It defines service requirements, develops and implements product support plans, diagnostic tools, training to support specialists, documentation and procedures necessary to provide quality, efficient and cost effective service. This position also requires the incumbent to provide product design/development feedback, including analysis of engineering or method changes, technical input to all relevant documentation and training programs, participation in the management of reliability growth, and provide direct system support while meeting all regulatory and safety requirements.

This incumbent must possess customer focused behaviors with strong, cross functional, written and verbal communication skills. Must be technically strong in areas of mechanics, electronics and hematology principles, evaluate and resolve complex instrument/reagent system problems while being practical, efficient, creative, resourceful and influential in accomplishing project objectives in a timely fashion relative to scheduling and business milestones.

Education & Typical Experience:
Typical education would be a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Science with medical device experience or Medical Technology with 6 - 10 yrs. experience.

The job duties may require travel domestically and internationally for short periods of time. There may be circumstances that require work beyond normal working hours or at nonstandard working hours.
