Senior New Product Development Engineer

We are representing a well known company located in the beautiful Rocky Mountain area. Their reputation as a stable, challenging and rewarding place to work is matched only by the outstanding reputation of their product.  Because of their growth we are assisting them in their search for a Senior Design Engineer in New Product Development.

We are looking for someone who will lead a NPD project team on projects ranging from $500K to $50M. You will take the project from concept to prototype to production.  This person must have the personal leadership skills necessary to lead major projects along with being a "hands on" technical leader.By this we mean someone who can participate in and apply design methodologies to ensure reliable and robust designs, such as Root Cause Analysis, Fault Tree Analysis, Failure Mode and Effect Analysis, DOE, DFM, and DFSS. Candidates should be familiar with ferrous and non-ferrous materials.  International experience with tooling, vendors, etc would be a plus. 

Requirements are as follows:  1) BSME; 2) 5 to 7 years in NPD along with 2 yrs of leadership in design; 3)DFM is very important--DFSS would be a plus; 4) must have 3-D solid modeling--PRO E or Unigraphics would be a plus; 5) Design experience with high volume, small interlocking mechanisms would be a plus.
