Senior Piping Designers & Checkers

We are currently recruiting for individuals who possess demonstrated experience in the following area for contract positions based in Calgary, Alberta CANADA:

SENIOR PIPING DESIGNERS & CHECKERS

? Demonstrated experience in leading/sub-leading of diverse workgroups highly desireable

? Exceptional Layout & Design/Checking experience

? Minimum 10 years experience on domestice refinery and/or insitu projects

? Experience interacting with high-level client personnel

* Must have Design experience utilizing 3D-CAD software OR experience Checking on CAD software.

Typical duties MAY include any combination of:

Develop plant, area or unit plot plan; responsible for development of any piping layout; responsible for development of any vessel orientation; supervise development of design model; responsible for checking of piping plan and isometric drawings; recognize and report problems on flow sheet; responsible for squad checking of vendor and other disciplines' drawings; solve flexibility problems not requiring computer application; do material take-off sketches and bills of material using sketches and bills of material using flow sheets and transposition, model, layout or plot plan; coordinate with other disciplines to insure compatibility of design; assist in development of drafter and designer training on the job; and travel, as required, to assure successful execution of project & dept. goals.
