Senior Power Electronics Design Engineer

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1.Supports technical project efforts in high power,multi-kilowatt power electronics designs using gated semiconductor devices such as Power MOSFETS,IGBT's,ETO's,SCR's and thyristors including Wide Band Gap (WBG) devices.

2.Specifies,designs,models,develops and tests power electronics based circuitry for high power motor drives or power conditioning circuitry for high power inverters operating between 10KW and 5MW.

3.Interfaces with customers and subcontractors for power electronics based projects

4.Applies knowledge of design,manufacturing and packaging standards in electronics assembly and circuit boards for process development,process and materials troubleshooting,design for manufacturability analysis and design reviews



MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

.BSEE plus 7 years experience in power electronicsdevice analysis,packaging and testing including precision die attach,plasma cleaning,heavy wire wedge bonding,wire pull and die shear testing,liquid crystal failure analysis,C-SAM,field emission SEM and IR processes

.Must have hands- on design and development experience as a Project Engineer

.Demonstrated design capabilities in Pulse Width Modulation regulation and control techniques in H-Bridge,Forward,Flyback,and Resonant converter topologies.

.Proficiency in Computer Aided Design tools and power systems analysis software,magnetic and semi-conductor controller design for power converters is highly desirable.

.Manufacturing experience in dominant methods of electronics packaging including through-hole,SMT,flip chip,etc.

.Strong technical knowledge in the application of power electronics semiconductor materials 

.Ability to plan,organize and lead technical projects and teams.

.Experience in proposal drafting and technical RFQ's is a plus.

.MS Project is a reporting requirement.

.Must be able to thrive in a small company,roll up your sleeves,team environment

.Must be a U S Citizen and able to obtain security clearance
