Senior Power Mechanical Process Engineer

REQUIRED SKILLS/JOB DESCRIPTION

A.  Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

B. At least 10+ years of power plant design experience.

C. Working knowledge of precedents in the Power mechanical specialty area, the principles and practices of related technical areas and ability to coordinate work with other technical disciplines.

 DESIRED SKILLS

A.  Knowledge or experience with plant operations, construction, or start-up a plus.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION OR PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

*Will plan, develop, coordinate and direct mechanical engineering effort for power generation facilities including coal fired combustion turbine, simple cycle, or combined cycle power generation projects. IGCC and renewable fuels and air correction (scrubbers, bag houses, SCR, etc.).
*Responsible for the interpretation of contractual requirements, definition of mechanical scope, and development of concepts to accomplish project objectives.
*Will supervise a mechanical engineering project staff consisting of subordinate engineers, designers, drafters and other assigned support personnel.
*Will coordinate project mechanical staffing, work assignments, checking of subordinate work, scheduling, and input to personnel appraisals.
*Will develop and monitor mechanical input to project control systems including schedules, man-day budgets, lists, indices, bills of material, etc.*Will direct and review mechanical engineering activities including equipment selection, cycle optimization, system design, piping design, flow sheets etc. on power plant projects.
