Senior Principal ACS Engineer

Duties Specific to the Position:
' Support spacecraft studies by designing and analyzing control system concepts.
' Support proposals by performing attitude control system conceptual designs, preliminary analyses, write-ups and costing.
' Develop program plans, test plans, subsystem specifications, error budgets, etc.
' Manage ACS work package and ACS personnel assigned to tasks.
' Independently design and/or review control modes, control loops, Kalman filters, and other controls related algorithms.
' Review C code implementation.
' Document and review algorithms and test results.
' Support spacecraft level testing.
' Perform anomaly analyses.

Skills Needed:
Candidate must be able to manage a subsystem design and develop task that includes hardware procurements, ACS software and simulation development and subsystem integration and test. Candidate must have a detailed knowledge of spacecraft control system design and analysis. Must have a working knowledge of the MATLAB and Simulink analysis tools, MS Office products and C-code. Candidate must be able to analyze system requirements and derive subsystem requirements. Candidate would be responsible for cost and schedule performance for the ACS tasks.

Minimum Qualifications/Education/Experience:
BS in Aerospace Engineering or related field and 10 years of experience. Must have satellite Attitude Control Subsystem (ACS) and personnel management experience. TS Clearance desired but not required.
