ATI Allvac, an Allegheny Technologies Company, is a leader in the production of specialty alloys, both titanium and nickel, for the aerospace industry. There may be positions available for Process and Product Engineers of various experience levels at our Albany, OR manufacturing facility.

 

ATI Allvac has manufacturing facilities in the USA and Britain.  The ATI Allvac Albany Plant is a major facility for the vacuum melting and billet conversion of titanium alloys.  The Albany facility currently has VAR furnaces, billet conversion presses and is in the midst of a capital expansion to increase production capacity.  With ATI Allvac?s plans for capital expansion, we are seeking Product and Process Engineers to join our team focused on making ATI Allvac the premier specialty alloys producer in the world.

 

ATI Allvac is focused on Continuous Improvement.  We use Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing and Statistical Process Control methodologies to improve our processes.  We are a data-driven company.  We also use analytical modeling to support our technologies.  Environment is fast-paced and hands-on.

 

Job Duties:  Develops and implements processes integrating people, equipment and materials for the most efficient operation of the melt shop.  Works closely with internal and external customers to meet specification requirements while maintaining low defect rates and driving Continuous Improvement.  Supports expansion efforts by ensuring new equipment is integrated into the production environment while verifying process capability and obtaining customer approval.  The candidate must favor a hands-on approach and be able to work in a team environment in a production setting.

 

Applicants for our Senior Process/Product Engineer positions should have a minimum of a Bachelor?s Degree in Metallurgy or related discipline with a minimum of eight years experience in a manufacturing environment, or a Master?s Degree in Metallurgy or related discipline with a minimum of five years experience.
