Senior Project Coordination Engineer

SureFire is a rapidly expanding company that develops and produces the ?World?s Finest Illumination Tools.? Our development and manufacturing processes are an aggregate of several technologies and methods, including: the science of illumination, optics, CNC Machining, electronic circuitry, mechanical engineering, assembly and test. We are currently seeking a Senior Project Coordination Engineer (ME or EE) with significant program/project management experience, who has the working knowledge and experience necessary to work in concert with senior Quality Assurance and Engineering staff as they build and expand the overall company quality program.

 

Position Summary

This position will require the development and implementation of a Project Management Process and supporting procedures and documentation. In addition, this position will require working with engineering management and staff in building plans and schedules to assure projects are carried out in a well-organized fashion: on-time and on-schedule.

 

The position also requires working closely with QA in assuring that appropriate quality assurance policies, standards, processes, procedures and controls are documented, in-place and are integrated with engineering requirements. The Sr. Project Coordination Engineer will also evaluate production capabilities and recommend improvements.

 Qualifications & Experience

? Minimum of 5 - 8 years of hands-on engineering experience, with a BS degree in Mechanical or Electronic Engineering, and 5 - 8 or more years experience in mechanical-electronics design and manufacturing including electro-mechanical processes and inspection.

 

? 5 - 8 years of program/project management experience. Candidate must have an intermediate level understanding of quality assurance fundamentals, with knowledge of SPC, design of experiments, statistical problem solving tools, FMEA and Failure Analysis. An advanced degree is a plus.

 

? Experienced with new product development, the review of engineering drawings, specifications, feasibility requirements, tolerance comparison and Government Statements Of Work.

 

? Lean Manufacturing knowledge and experience is highly desirable.

 

? Must have a working knowledge of basic international standards, i.e. MIL-Specs, IPC-610D, ASTM, AMS and ISO.

 

? This position requires a team player with the knowledge and experience to work comfortably in this environment as part of a team, as a facilitator or functioning individually. Must have excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.

 

? Intermediate to advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Project software is required.
