Responsible for:   Business development, proposal writing, and budget development for projects involving the design and construction of solid waste sites.

Reports To:    Director, Regional Operations

Location:  Chicago, IL

 

Position Summary: Work with existing contacts in the public and private sector of the Solid Waste industry to identify, develop and execute solid waste projects.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

1.  Identify potential projects, develop clients, develop proposal, sell project, put together team needed to execute the project, deliver the project on time and on budget, and satisfy the client.

2.  Leverage all available resources to win business.

 

Qualifications:

 

1.  At least 10 years of experience in the planning, development, permitting, design and construction of solid waste management facilities.

2.  Proven history of successful project execution.

3.  Excellent client skills.

4.  Proven list of customer contacts and references in the solid waste industry.

5.  Excellent project management skills.

6.  Ability to lead a technical team of project personnel.

7.  Strong proposal writing skills.

8.  Excellent communication skills. Education:    BS/MS  degree in Civil Engineering or related field.

Professional Registration preferred.

Civil Designers ? AutoCAD (BS Engineering, 1-2 years experience with AutoCAD doing 3 dimensional landfill design, piping systems and topographical plans)
