Senior Purchasing Specialist

International firm with global presence has an immediate opening for a Senior Purchasing Specialist to join their procurement team. Will be responsible for selecting and negotiating with approved suppliers and placing purchase orders in response to product requirements. May direct the activities of other Purchase Specialists. Skills are typically acquired through completion of an undergraduate degree in Procurement related subject area such as Business Administration or similar discipline and 4 years of experience in Purchasing. In lieu of degree, 6 years of equivalent experience in Purchasing is also available. Successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to supervise. Should have excellent organization skills with the ability to prioritize and be a team player. Success will depend on your ability to thrive in a team environment.
