Senior Quality Engineer - Sheet Metal

Ingersoll Rand Climate Control Technologies Sector is seeking an experienced Sr. Quality Engineer - Sheet Metal for our Bridgeton, MO location.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead the Implementation of the Quality Plans for Sheet metal Department:

* Develop control plans, identifying Critical To Quality (CTQ) features (process and product).
* Modify control plans when ECNs, Process FMEAs or Corrective Actions require changes to be made.
* Conduct random audits of the control plan to verify on-going compliance.
* Document and where possible, pictorial define CTQs Features in the Delta Quality Format and post at machines.
* Develop work / gaging instructions for critical processes.

Track and Report Critical Quality Metrics :

* Maintain a current Pareto of issues and assist in the development of action of plan.
* Develop and maintain gaging in areas of responsibility.
* Assist in the development, qualification and implementation of gaging.
* Conduct gage R&R studies for critical gages.
* Supervise 2nd Shift Inspectors.

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelors of Science Degree in Industrial / Manufacturing Engineering.

5 + years experience in Quality experience in manufacturing environment.

ASQ Certified Quality Engineer Certification Preferred.

6 Sigma Green/Black Belt Certified Preferred.

Practical use and knowledge of the APQP tools.

Experience in problem solving tools such as 8-D, 5 Why, IR CAP process and DMIAC.

Organization skills and ability to multi-task.

Knowledge of ISO 9000:2000.
