Senior Quality Mechanical Engineer

Job Description:
? Quality engineer responsible for the parts dedication and supply of mechanical/electrical equipment, components, parts and associated services to nuclear power plant customers.
? Assume quality assurance leadership role in all aspects of quality engineering, planning and assurance of quality delivery of reactor hardware, services, and associated documentation for the assigned products/processes.
? Work proactively with suppliers, design engineering and product leaders to define specific product quality requirements.
? Implement changes to improve processes and product quality, optimize production of quality at the source, and eliminate failures.
? Develop dedication inspection, verification, qualification and statistical process control methods.
? Develop tests and processes to assure products and services can reliably meet all requirements.
? Answer customer as well as supplier quality concerns.
? Apply technical and quality knowledge and practical experience to the analysis, investigation, and solution of complex process problems to assure that prompt and effective action is taken to prevent or, as necessary, resolve quality issues.
? Write and review technical quality documents, plans and procedures.
? Maintain quality assurance programs and procedures, and assure compliance with regulatory requirements.




Job Experience:
? BSME Degree or relevant 4-year degree in technical discipline.
? Minimum of two years of experience working within a nuclear QA program in parts dedication processing, quality planning, supplier evaluation and performance assessment, and/or sourcing areas.
? Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interface with various cultures and at all levels of the organization.
? Working experience in laboratory testing, analysis, process and equipment, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and vacuum testing.
? Working understanding of manufacturing and special processes such as material forms, machining, assembly, welding, heat-treatment, NDE, etc.
? Demonstrated self-starter possessing strong initiative and teamwork skills.-
? Certifiable to ANSI/NQA-1 Level II or Level III Mechanical / Electrical Inspector.
