Senior RF and Mixed Mode Test Engineer

Senior RF and Mixed Mode Test Engineer: lead and participate in all company testing activities including development of the test methodologies, designing of radio frequency (RF) and Mixed Mode integrated circuits (IC) test equipment and programs for qualification and manufacturing testing,  conducting qualification tests and maintaining the manufacturing tests for precise analog,  power, mixed mode and RF IC and modules.

 

Activities are as follows:

 Develop qualification and Automated Test Equipment Test methodologies Precise mixed mode / RF qualification and reference circuit board design, including schematic design and capture, component selection and Bill of Material generation, and supervise board layout and fabrication Hands-on mixed mode / RF IC troubleshooting, design validation and characterization in manual and automated mode System level debugging of mixed-signal designs, evaluation of system performance and compliance with specifications and customer requirements. Engage with cross functional teams including Design, Systems Engineering, Marketing and Applications resources to drive on-time production ramp of multiple products. Strong understanding of RF fundamentals and RF matching techniques. Help authoring technical documents such as technical articles, application notes, and technical notes.

Employment Standards

 

Education/Experience:

 

? BS, MS or PhD Degree in electrical engineering  or related discipline plus experience is required with minimum 3 year mixed mode design or test experience

 

Required Skills, Competencies, Authorities, and Training Needs:

 

? Experience with the following test equipment: Spectrum Analyzers, Network Analyzers, Power Meters, Logic Analyzers,  Oscilloscopes and other RF test equipment Listening, organizational, problem solving skills

?  Extensive experience with Eagle Test Systems testers is a big plus. Proficiency in Borland C/C++, script languages and Lab VIEW is a plus
