Senior Reliability Test Engineer

Ingersoll Rand Climate Control Technologies Sector is seeking an experienced Senior Reliability Test Engineer for our Bridgeton, MO location.

POSITION SUMMARY:

This position will be accountable for developing and implementing planned reliability testing methodologies and strategies in the Design Engineering Group.
Position is responsible for suggesting design modifications to products, designing test cell improvements, developing new testing methodologies with the objective of measuring product reliability Growth and developing ways to summarize and present test data to the engineers and co-workers. Work with design engineers to decide which tests need to be run and recommend alternatives in order to grant high product reliability standards at product release time. Designs and develops complete testing procedures for refrigeration products/systems/components, provides technical leadership to the Testing and Design group, participate in FMEA of new products and extensions of current components.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Investigate, develop and advise management as to the feasibility of testing for reliability new products or systems utilizing advanced technology.

Act as a consultant for product managers and technical mentor/advisor to other Engineers.

Act as a consultant and representative of the Reliability Test Engineering Department to functional and general management meetings.

Assist in the development of divisional strategic plans; interface with vendors and internal customers to develop new products and components.

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:

Position requires strong technical familiarity with testing techniques and DOE.

Familiarity with measuring devices is a must.

Experience with effectively interfacing with cross-functional Departments and thorough knowledge of project management technology.

Familiarity with Strain Gague thecniques a plus.

BSME/BSEE 4 years minimum as Engineer III or ten plus years related engineering proven performance.

PE registration or MS in Engineering is desirable.

Technical familiarity with the refrigeration industry a plus.
