Senior SW Engineer/VoIP Signaling Subsystem

Job Description:

The candidate will be part of the team that is responsible for developing the call control subsystem for the Packet Voice Processor (PVP) family of products. This product family is offering ground breaking voice quality enhancement and monitoring functions for VoIP based networks.  The candidate will be able to participate and contribute to Ditech?s goal of always deliver the highest quality Carrier Class products.

The candidate will get the opportunity to work in an open environment where cross-functional teams are responsible for converting marketing and customer requirements into technical solutions. The candidate?s input into this process will result into responsibilities for design and implementation of software components in the call control subsystem.  The candidate will be able to work with the latest VoIP technologies and will have the benefit of being exposed to multiple VoIP signaling protocols such as SIP, H.248 and MGCP developed by the top vendors in the industry.

The candidate will also be involved in technical leadership of projects, technical mentoring to other engineers and will drive the evolution and architecture of the subsystem.

Requirements:

BS or higher degree in CS/EE and 10+ years of relevant industry experience, including 3+ years in a Lead role. The candidate must have demonstrated the following skills while developing datacom/telecom products:

?  Extensive knowledge in VoIP signaling protocols. (SIP, H.323, H.248 or MGCP)

?  Hands on experience with off-the-shelf VoIP signaling stacks. (FSS, Radvision, Resiprocate or similar)

?  Design of Call Control functionality for VoIP products in embedded environments.

?  C/C++ programming and target debugging experience in an embedded environment

?  Core concepts of real-time and embedded systems programming, such as thread and resource management.

?  Network programming, including sockets, TCP/IP, UDP and related protocols

?  Real-time Operating Systems, their principles and the services they provide. (VxWorks, Real time Linux, QNX or similar).

?  Full cycle of software development including object oriented analysis, design, implementation, debugging and developer testing.

?  Working with Motorola PPC and/or Intel based platforms.

?  Exposure to large code base systems.

?  Enthusiasm for solving challenging problems.
