Senior Sensor and Signal Processing Engineer

Job Description:? SET Corporation is actively seeking qualified candidates in the Research and Development of Radar Signal Processing Algorithms for detecting, tracking, and classifying objects of interest. This work will include hands-on design, development, experimentation, and testing of exploitation algorithms for real beam and synthetic aperture radars. Opportunity exists for integration of developed algorithms with prototype radar hardware. Application domains of interest include region monitoring, target recognition (ATR), change detection, intrusion detection, and hidden weapons detection for military and commercial customers from both ground-based and airborne sensors.

Education:? MS or PhD in EE or related field.

Required Skills:? 2 to 10 years of experience developing signal processing algorithms for 1D and 2D radar signals. Understanding of radar scattering phenomenology and radar signal processing. Knowledge of statistical techniques as well as radar modeling and analysis tools. The candidate is expected to be proficient in appropriate programming and scripting languages, such as C, C++, Python, Perl, and Matlab.

Security Clearance- Have or be able to obtain DOD Secret

Desired Skills? Experience with automatic target detection, tracking, and recognition algorithms across the RF spectrum is highly desirable. Experience with different radar modes, waveforms, and associated phenomenology (real-beam, HRR, Doppler, SAR, ISAR, IFSAR, UWB, MTI, GMTI, etc) and phased array principals is highly desirable. Less critical, but desirable: experience with signal processing for optical-plane imaging and ranging sensors (EO, IR, LADAR, HSI).
