Senior Signal Engineer

Essential Functions (Responsibilities):
The Senior Signal Engineer (SSE) will be responsible for leading signal engineering projects. The technical leadership of the project will involve insuring product submittals meet applicable specifications, circuit plans exceed customer expectations and are error free, application logic is completely tested and verified, and schedule and budget adherence is maintained. SSE supervises and coordinates engineers and technical support personnel assigned to projects. SSE will maintain project files to insure design control requirements are met. SSE conducts reviews with various departments, divisions & customers to insure appropriate communication of project progress and management. SSE will insure the final signal system is installed and tested correctly to meet the customer requirements. SSE will be required to work at customer sites when directed by the customer.

Qualifications/Requirements:
Candidate must possess the following: * BS degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or a minimum of 10 years signaling experience. * Experience in verifying signal designs and/or leading a signal engineering design project. * Experience in a variety of railroad practices, operating rules and applications. * Excellent team leadership experience. * Excellent oral and written communication skills. * Ability to establish and maintain good customer relations. * Proficient in use of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, ACE and Outlook. * Excellent organizational skills. * Experience in application of digitization tools to improve efficiency. * Working knowledge and ability to apply six sigma principles. * Experience in applying microprocessor based controllers and developing the Boolean or ladder logic for their execution.
