Senior Software Engineer - GUI Graphical User Interface

Position Summary: Design and develop world-class GPS GUI interface engineering solutions for next generation vehicle and outdoor Personal Navigation Devices (PND). Experience in developing GPS navigation based software is highly desirable.

? Lead the UI development team in the development of Magellan products.

? Work with the UI subject Matter Expert within the team and the platform architect on UI development direction.

? Allocate tasks to the members of the UI team.

? Take ownership of portions of the UI and develop using C++ within an Object Oriented Design environment.

? Ensure UI development follows the development process. Ensure design and code reviews occur. ? Work with the marketing design team on development schedules to ensure deliverables meet all schedule targets.

? Work with management (Senior Manager of Embedded Development) on overall planning and UI group organization.

? 10+ Years embedded development experience using a real-time operating system 4+ Years experience in a lead role. UI development experience Development using Object Oriented Design concepts C++ experience (C only is not acceptable) Microsoft Project Experience Clarity Experience WinCE development experience GPS Product Development experience Clearcase Experience
