Senior Technical Regulations & Standards Compliance Engineer

Essential Functions (Responsibilities):

Develop & Oversee Completion of Compliance Strategies & Execution/Resource Plans for Multiple Projects, coordinating with internal functional teams and external parties such as Consultants and Regulatory Authorities to meet Requirements

Create/Audit Requisition specific internal and customer documentation, such as equipment compliance lists and reports as required in the conformity assessment process

Participate in and lead Six Sigma Projects to Continuously Improve Practices/Procedures for GEE and GEE suppliers to Ensure Requirements are Executed & Maintained with the Changing Regulatory Environment

Qualifications/Requirements:

Bachelors in Engineering

Minimum of 8 years in Engineering

Relevant Experience with Conformity Assessment activities regarding International Technical Regulations and Standards (e.g. IEC, CE, UL, CSA, CCC, GOST)

Experience with Power Plant Electrical & Control Systems and strong understanding of Fluid and Mechanical I/O Componentry

Ability to Communicate Orally and in writing to all levels within GE Energy and outside to customers, suppliers, local authorities, etc.

Strong Project Management Skills

Demonstrated Problem Solving Capability and Passion for Challenge & Learning

Eligibility Requirements

If currently a GE employee, you must have been in your current position for at least 12 months and have at least a satisfactory performance rating

Desired:

Experience with CENELEC EEx marking requirements for equipment installed in EU classified areas, EN 50014 protection methods

Experience with Safety HazOps, Risk Assessments

Working knowledge of one or more GE Energy business processes (e.g. NPI/ITO/OTR/Construction/Commissioning/Warranty)

Qualified ISO 9001 Auditor

Certified Six Sigma Green Belt (Internal GE Only)

Advanced Technical or Advance Business degree
