Senior Technician/Technical Engineer

We are currently expanding, and are searching for a Sr. Technician/Technical Engineer.  This product development engineer will be responsible for quality assurance, troubleshooting, and assembly of highly precise electrical, optical and mechanical devices as well as:Support day-to-day production, including mechanical & electrical assembly, disassembly & testing of our product. Interface with engineering, quality and other support staff. Provide technical & hands on support for testing, qualifications, and validations. Develop and document test protocols, qualification and validation reports. Order new and replacement parts and tools for manufacturing equipment. Understand and perform basic statistical calculations and analysis.

 

Education:

BSEE or equivalent desirable but not mandatory

 

Job Requirements:

?  5 years successful product development experience with products containing precision electrical, optical and mechanical assemblies

?  Highly capable in troubleshooting boards and systems

?  Excellent soldering skills

?  Experience with electrical and electro-mechanical designs

?  QA experience with final assembly and test of complex electronic designs

?  Familiarity with current CAD tools

?  Proven capability with automated test tools and calibration systems

?  Familiarity with white box and black box testing required

?  Script writing and rudimentary programming experience required

?  Ability to interface with design engineers, marketing and vendors for design improvements

?  Team player with good communications skill required

 

Additional skill preferred, but not required:

?  Electro-optical experience highly desirable

?  Assembly & Test fixture design experience desirable
