UTC Fire & Security (UTCFS) is a dynamic, multi-billion dollar global fire safety and security company. In Fire Safety, the company designs, manufactures, integrates, installs and services fire detection and fixed suppression systems as well as portable fire extinguishers and fire fighting equipment. The Senior Test Engineering Technician will be responsible for the design, development, documentation, implementation, and maintenance of all production in-circuit and functional test equipment. He/she is a key member of the product development team and continually strives for improved test methodologies to contain/reduce product cost.

?7Provide production support for all production and customer / supplier test equipment, which includes: diagnosis and repairs of test equipment issues and implementation of required corrective actions.
?7Implementation of corrective actions will include but are not limited to functional and in-circuit test equipment repair/replacement, software revisions, product corrective action, and procedural changes.
?7Management and coordination of test equipment fabrication projects related to the design, development, documentation, and release to production of test equipment for both new and existing products using both inside and outside supplier resources.
?7Identify and implement improved methods of production test consistent with cost containment/reduction.
?7Work concurrently with product design and development to ensure that production testing of new and existing product is done in the most economical way possible without compromise of product quality.
?7Assess and provide direction for the best possible methods and mechanisms for product testing.


Associates Degree in Electronics or 2 year Technical school completion or equivalent relevant working experience in the test equipment development and support field;

?7Proficient in design of new test methodologies.
?7Experience in fabrication and wiring of production test equipment.
?7Familiar PC / PLC driven ATE equipment design.
?7Familiar with in-circuit testing equipment, fixture design, and programming (Teradyne 18XX a plus).
?7Familiar with ATE software principles and logic.
?7Proficient in project management and organization skills.
