Senior Transportation Engineer

Stantec is looking for a talented Senior Traffic Engineer/Project manager to serve as lead person for our traffic engineering services group, responsible for all types of transportation planning and design.  As the Senior Traffic Engineer, you will manage and oversee traffic engineering projects of all types, however, may focus in either traffic operations or signal design and timing.  Project management experience is required and personnel management experience is a plus. 

We require a BSCE and a minimum of 10 years experience in traffic operations studies and analysis, corridor studies, access management, and traffic forecasting, and/or signal analysis and design, signal timing, signal system design, and ITS.  Experience with software packages such as HCS, Synchro, CORSIM, VISSIM, ArcView/ArcGIS, TransCAD and Microstation a plus.  Candidates must possess excellent technical, analytical, communication, and project management skills.  Plan and specification preparation is a plus.  Must have PE in NC or ability to obtain within 6 months.
