Description:
As a Scale Software Design Engineer in Test, you will work to create test plans and execute thorough tests, select and/or develop appropriate testing tools, write and automate test cases to ensure a high-quality and scalable product with all of our releases. You must be committed to working in a team environment, be willing to attack a wide range of problems, have strong verbal and written communications skills, and be looking for a challenging but rewarding role in a fast-paced, dynamic environment that often requires flexible schedules and strong commitments.

Responsibilities include:
?Executing and maintaining all aspects of the scalability test cycles
?Assist in defining and maintaining test case matrices
?Design and execution of scale test procedures
?Detailed status, defect reporting and defect tracking
?Assist in the maintenance of all test environments
?Liaise with IT to ensure accessibility of all environments
?Execution of automated tests as required

Educational Requirements:
?BS degree in Computer Science, or equivalent

Required Skills & Experience:
?A minimum of three years software-testing experience
?Solid coding ability in Java and/or C/C++
?Experience with Windows development (Win32 API, COM)
?Excellent problem solving and communication skills
?Ability to understand and translate complex technical issues to a broad audience
?Strong proficiency with Windows, Internet protocols (TCP/IP, POP3, IMAP), and enterprise groupware (Microsoft Exchange, Lotus Domino)
?Working knowledge of Unix/Linux
?Previous test automation experience
?Thorough understanding of client-server-client deployment architecture
?Passion for improving the user experience and shipping quality products

?Experience with Oracle
?Experience with Perl
?Experience with QA tools: e.g. Rational Robot, Rational Test Manager
?Experience with Scalability Testing
?Experience working with wireless internet devices
?Desktop APIs (MAPI, CDO, Lotus Notes, WinInet, WinHTTP, NT networking)
?Hands-on experience with Internet technologies (HTML/XML, JSP, IMAP, Servlets), wireless technologies (WAP, SyncML), Network technologies (proxy servers, load balancers, HTTP, TCP/IP)
