Software Engineer (DO-178B)

Responsible for developing software applications that fully exercise features of our proprietary operating system (focus is on DO-178B standard) to verify the functionality and correctness of requirements and low-level design.  Candidate will develop a detailed knowledge of operating system internals, while using the latest in compiler and debugger technology from Green Hills. Our proprietary operating system is a securely partitioned real time operating system that targets demanding safety critical applications containing multiple programs with different levels of safety criticality, all executing on a single processor.The system has been engineered from the ground up to provide security and determinism.
Duties:
* Reverse engineering of existing products for certification.  Includes Requirements, Design, and Test Case and Procedure generation
* Development of test cases and procedures for requirements and structural (MCDC) tests
* Independently verify developed code meets software design requirements through analysis and testing
* Verification of low-level requirements and software architecture
* Verification of code test coverage and robustness and functional testing
* Support the generation of DO-178B certification packages for our products.

Required Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in CS or EE (or equivalent) (GPA 3.0+)
* Experience developing software with C/C++ and/or Ada
* US Citizenship (due to site security requirements)

Desirable Skills:
* Experience with Real-Time Operating System (RTOS)
* Experience with embedded systems
* Experience with PowerPC, MIPS, or ARM architecture/assembly
