Software Engineer - Firmware/BSP Development We build some of the highest-end products using cutting-edge technology!

 

Summary:

Participate in the design and development of microprocessor based single board systems supporting Signal Processing applications. Develop new, and enhance existing boot code, device drivers, and monitor for all DSP products.

 

Responsibilities:Follow established software development process, and design, implement, and functional test of all firmware components, including boot code, monitor, device drivers, and hardware abstraction layer.Participate in and contribute to cross-site common firmware and software development efforts.Participate in and contribute to the hardware and FPGA architecture and design. Responsible for bringing up prototype boards and supporting hardware troubleshooting.Design and execute CHAMPtools software test cases.Work with Application team to support customer requests and issues.Benchmark and optimize hardware performance.

 

Qualifications:5+ years experience in firmware/low level software development using C and Assembly.Working experience in device driver development for PPC, memory controllers, Flash, DRAM, VME, PCI, and Ethernet.Knowledge with software/hardware debugging tools such as ICE and Scope Tool.A self-starter, flexible, and willing/able to learn.A flexible team player able to work in a fast-pace environment with challenging schedules.Possess analytical problem solving abilities, and good oral and written communication skills.VxWorks/Linux BSP experience is a plus.

 

Education:

 



BSEE or BSCS or an equivalent required.Must be a U.S. citizen or current green-card holder to apply for this position.
