Software Engineer - Syracuse, NY
SRC is looking for a Software Engineer who will be supporting research and development of advanced concept demonstrations in the area of Cyber Situational Awareness. The successful candidate will be working on small teams to design and implement software subsystems and components in a variety of key research and development areas including Expert Systems, Data Mining, Social Network Analysis, Natural Language Processing (NLP), Modeling & Simulation, and Data Visualization.
Requirements:
The successful candidate must possess Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field with at least 3 years of demonstrated experience or MS Degree in Computer Science or related field with 1 year of demonstrated experience, preferably in a research-oriented environment. The successful candidate must have experience and demonstrated knowledge of the following:
Experience with object-oriented design and programming
Experience creating and modifying Java
Knowledge of XML tools
Knowledge of GUI
Knowledge of C++
Knowledge of Data Mining Technology is a plus
Experience in one of the above mentioned key research and development areas
Experience with government programs is a plus
Possession of excellent written and oral communication skills
Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
