The Software Engineer is a member of the product development team working to deliver mobile ultrasound products that exceed customer's expectations.

 

As a Software Engineer, you will perform all aspects of product level development of software.  This includes requirements, scheduling, analysis and design, implementation, and testing.  You will be expected to be able to work independently or as a member of a small team of developers.  Furthermore, you are expected to interact with other disciplines and departments effectively. You will interface with Human Factors design engineers and Clinical Marketing to develop and enhance the Graphical User Interface (GUI) and analytical measurement package(s).

 

Key Responsibilities: Requirements.  Gather requirements from writing system specifications, holding requirements reviews, and developing requirements for software to be developed.Design.  Analyze requirements and develop object-oriented design that meets requirements.  Hold review with peers to justify design approach and review completeness of design.Implementation.  Implement design using company standards.  Hold reviews of code with peers.  Work with configuration management system to manage implementation.Test.  Provide initial testing of implementation and design.  Develop test plan and specifications for testing requirements.  Aid in the testing of requirements of your designs as well as others.Responsible and accountable for carrying out the requirements of the company's quality system.

Required Knowledge Skills & Abilities: BS in computer science, electrical engineering, or related degree, or equivalent experience preferred.5 years relevant industry experience or advanced degree.ISO, FDA or other regulated industry training and experience desired.Embedded system development experience.Experience developing GUI under Windows CE, VxWorks, and/or Unix.Medical ultrasound experience desired.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Working knowledge of object-oriented design and the C++ programming language.Must be available for working extended hours during critical phases of development programs.Able to lift 25lbs with or without accommodations.
