Software Project Engineer - Crew Exploration Vehicle (CEV)

As a Spacecraft Software Project Engineer for the Crew Exploration Vehicle program you would develop and assess software architecture options for Crew Exploration Vehicle Demonstrations. Potential demonstration systems include; Launch Abort, Crew Module orbit and recovery and Service Module maneuvering. The candidate will be responsible for the implementation of the software architecture and development environment, as well as to coordinate and synchronize the technology contributions of the subcontractors.

Basic Qualifications: Strong programming background combined with modern design techniques and development practices experience including modular design, software reuse and techniques for writing robust, high performance and extensible code is required. Must be able to work with potential suppliers to package existing or easily modified software into a near term demonstration system that supports the overall CEV Demonstration objectives.

A demonstrated ability to technically lead a small team of software engineers combined with good organization skills and project/program management experience is required. Communication skills with the breadth of spacecraft system suppliers are required.

Must have a BS degree and a minimum of 15 years of applicable experience.
