System Architect:

 

At Fry, the System Architect is responsible for leading a technical team of software engineers in the design and development of transactional web based applications.   System Architects are excellent communicators who are able to lead complicated design efforts with technical staff as well as being able to work with non-technical clients and project managers by translating business issues into technical solutions.  Responsibilities:Technical team leadershipAssist in project managementApplication designTechnical specification documentationCommunicate technical issues to project managers and clientsSystem analysisConfiguration and prototyping of new systemsDelegate work to others

 

Required Educational and Experience qualifications:A bachelor?s degree in computer science or related fieldDemonstrated technical leadership experience8+ years experience in object oriented development Very strong experience in: J2EE architecture, OO design patterns, web application servers (Websphere, Tomcat, Weblogic), relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, DB/2)Experience in Microsoft .NET is a plusStrong written and verbal communication skills  Familiarity with project management concepts and toolsPresentation skills are a plusExperience designing and developing E-Commerce and Business to Consumer solutions is a plus?  Ability to handle multiple projects concurrently
