Software Test Automation Engineer, Assoc., I, or II

Job Responsibilities:
Responsible for implementing and administering effective Software Configuration Management (SCM) for the Software Test Automation team.


-Works with STA Manager to define requirements for SCM, plan activities for SCM, and execute planned activities.

 

-Specifically:Defines SCM structure needed to control STA source code, builds, and releases. Implements SCM structure using appropriate tool(s), making source code files available to team members for check in/check out and merge.

 

-Communicates and coordinates with STA team members on SCM needs and issues; resolves any SCM problems.

 

-Performs source code builds and releases as needed to meet customer needs; makes released software available to customer in controlled and repeatable manner. Maintains source code and build environment as needed in response to project changes.


Job Qualifications:
Associate Engineer: Associates degree in Computer Science or equivalent field; or at least two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 1-2 years experience with software device control (preferably in C language). Entry-level positions available.

 

ENGINEER I: BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or other engineering discipline; or at least 4 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Over 2 years experience in development of real-time software with C programming language.

 

ENGINEER II: BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or other engineering discipline plus two years of related experience; or at least 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Over 3 years experience in development of real-time software with C programming language.

 

ASSOCIATE, I, II: Minimum of 1-3 years experience in software development with c/c++ language. Minimum of 1-3 years experience in the implementation of Software Configuration Management in a technical environment. Development experience on Windows 95/NT/XP platforms. PVCS and Object Oriented Design (OOD) knowledge is a plus. Ability to quickly grasp new concepts and work proactively in a team environment. Proven fast-learner; basic knowledge of software and software test processes; proven written/verbal communication skills; detailed-oriented; ability to work in teams. Ability to solve problems independently and multi-task.
