Solidworks Designers

This individual will utilize SolidWorks 2006 to prepare models, assemblies, and drawings with minimal supervision, working from verbal and written instruction, marked prints, sketches and engineering design calculations.  They will possess thorough knowledge of drafting techniques and principles and understand general design requirements.  Four to eight years of SolidWorks CAD Design/Drafting experience is a must!<p><b>Primary Responsibilities:</b><ul><li>Develop 3D solid models and 2D detail and assembly drawings.</li><li>Create and maintain complex layouts, details, and assemblies with bills of materials.</li><li>Act on approved Engineering Changes (ECR/ECN) and update drawings as required.</li><li>Thoroughly check all drawings and bills of materials for design/drafting standards content.</li><li>Work within PDM system guidelines.</li></ul><b>Requirements:</b><ul><li>Minimum 4 years of CAD drafting experience using SolidWorks.</li><li>Detailed knowledge of ANSI/ASME drawing standards including knowledge of ASME 14.5M-1994</li><li>Ability to effectively apply GD&T.</li><li>Ability to work in a fast paced environment managing multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.</li><li>Good project management and communication skills.</li><li>Basic PC proficiency and familiarity with Adobe Acrobat, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.</li><li>Experience with PDM Works or other file management applications desirable.</li><li>Understanding of mass properties and FEA (CosmosWorks) a plus.</li><li>Takes feedback constructively and makes effort to improve skills.</li><li>Self-motivated.
