Space Power Systems Architect - Hi Rel

International Rectifier seeks a Space Power Systems Architect for the HiRel Products Group.

The International Rectifier HiRel Products Group provides unparalleled capabilities in the design and development of radiation hardened and standard discrete power semiconductors, power modules, integrated assemblies and DC-DC converters. This position will provide technical leadership in radiation hardened space power systems, lead internal roadmaps and power architecture to optimize customer solutions and drive overall business success through definition and implementation of effective space power solutions. Additionally, this role will be responsible to identify customer and market requirements and opportunities for new products and lead the product definition process and business planning requirements with engineering. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining a comprehensive product roadmap for the HiRel Sector Business Unit, responsible for gaining internal approvals and for developing and insuring HiRel?s market strategy and profitability

Duties include defining and implementing effective strategies to achieve revenue growth and profitability targets, identify and define requirements and opportunities for new products and lead planning processes with sales, engineering, operations, and business management. You will evaluate competitive threats and lead competitive evaluations to drive overall market and competitive strategy, provide technical leadership and customer support to drive growth in space power solution and provide strategic guidance to the sales force to assist them in penetrating the target markets. You will also assist in proper training of sales, FAE?s and customer service personnel on forthcoming products and technologies

Qualifications include a BSEE or equivalent degree (MSEE and MBA preferred), 20+ years of experience in defense, military and commercial aerospace power electronic systems and be a recognized as expert in Space Power Systems. Competence and integrity to inspire confidence in customers, sales organization, R&D and Business Management organizations as well as Senior Company Management and outstanding communication skills are essential.
