Thank you for your interest in Toyota Motor Manufacturing North America (TMMNA).  TMMNA is the headquarters for Toyota's North American manufacturing operations, which include 11 affiliates across the U.S., Canada and Mexico.  New locations are currently under construction.


 


Toyota North America manufactures the Lexus, Avalon, Camry, Sienna, Solara, the Tundra and Tacoma pick-up trucks. 


 


TMMNA provides centralized administrative and production support to the affiliates, each an independently run company.  The headquarters was established in 1996 and has grown to over 1000 team members.


 


MACHINE ENGINEERING SPECIALIST
This specialist is responsible for preparing engine lines for new model changes.  This involves equipment planning, procurement of equipment, installation, startup and handover. 


 


Duties of this position include:


- Create process plans


- Write equipment specifications


- Procure equipment


- Manage costs and track schedules


- Monitor installation and confirm functionality


- Resolve vehicle quality concerns


- Interface with contractors/skilled trades, affiliate companies, engineers and equipment manufacturers


- Manage issues and make countermeasures for timely completion of projects


- Multi-task across several simultaneous projects


- Provide updates/reports to upper management




Required:


- BS in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering


- Interest in "hands-on" engineering


- Microsoft Office Tools


- U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident


 


Desired:


- Experience with Process Engineering


- Automotive/automotive supplier experience


- AutoCAD/ProE experience


- Toyota Production System knowledge


- Basic Machining knowledge
