Toyota Motor Manufacturing North America (TMMNA) is the headquarters for Toyota's North American manufacturing operation which includes 11 affiliates across the U.S., Canada and Mexico. Two new locations are currently under construction. Toyota North America manufactures the Avalon, Camry, Sienna, Solara, Tacoma, Tundra and Lexus RX330. TMMNA provides centralized administrative and production support to the affiliates, each an independently run company. Position is responsible for assuring the quality of raw materials (plastics, chemicals,fabrics, leather) used in or by Toyota manufacturing centers. Activity level will includePerforming new material pre-production quality assurance activity to confirm supplier readiness and material performance (focus on color and grain technical functions)Developing and implementing inspection control testing programsLeading problem solving investigations and troubleshooting to assure root cause is identified, countermeasure and reoccurrence prevention fully implementedLeading quality improvement initiatives with suppliersProviding technical support and analytical analysis for material issuesReview of color and grain samples during production preparation stages

Bachelor of Science in Chemical Eng, Material Science Eng (preferred) or related degree3 -5 years experience with raw material manufacturing, applications and designMinimum 2 years quality experience in development of process and procedure flowsStrong problem solving, project management and communication skillsAbility to understand and interpret technical specificationsAbility to operate in a team environmentAbility to generate accurate and concise technical reportsComputer skills in Access,?Excel
