Sr Application/Embedded Control Engineer

 Highly motivated Software Engineer to be a member of a team in developing Windows software for configuration and control of embedded equipment used in the television broadcast industry.  A very high emphasis placed on developing intuitive user interfaces.

 Create intuitive SW interfaces for configuration and control of Harris routing & distribution productsManage complex system architectures for data manipulation and protocol interfacing necessary to support the interaction between the SW interfaces and HW productsWork within a strong team environment to drive towards key deliverables associated with a market driven product families

 

 

Qualifications:

 

BSEE, BSCS or BSCpE

  (or equivalent experience)

 

 

Experience:

 Strong C/C++ programming skillsExperience with Win32 application development using MS Visual C++ and MFCGUI design and developmentExperience with serial and network-based programming (sockets, TCP/IP, SNMP)Application of Standard Template Library (STL)COM/DCOM and component developmentDesign and development for multi-threaded and concurrent applicationsStrong understanding of object-oriented design and development including the implementation of design patternsAbility to work in a development team environment using version control softwareKnowledge of software development life-cycleEmbedded Software for Real-Time Operating SystemsMS Access Databases (design and programming)Languages/Technologies used in Web Development (JAVA, HTML, XML)UML
