Sr. Biomedical Engineer

This Engineer coordinates the activities of the biomedical staff with an emphasis on developing, implanting and maintaining an effective repair and preventive maintenance program for a variety of medical instrumentation. Performs scheduled inspections of the preventive maintenance variety and inspects, maintains and completes electrical safety testing of biomedical equipment to ensure code compliance. Monitors work done by outside contractors to ensure requirements and codes are met and the results are properly documented. Local travel is required between multiple entities and facilities.

 

An Associate?s degree in Biomedical Technology or Electronic Engineering or a five year combination of education and experience are required. Candidate must possess a minimum of 7 years? ?in house? hospital-based experience as a biomedical professional.
