We are currently recruiting for a Sr. Electrical Manufacturing Engineer to join our Product Development team in Vancouver, WA.



Overview: The Sr. Electrical Manufacturing Engineer provides electrical and electronic sustaining engineering and new product manufacturing introduction for commercial and institutional treadmills, cycles and steppers based in Tulsa area. As part of a small and growing team, the Engineer supports multiple, simultaneous efforts under Nautilus, Schwinn, StairMaster and other brands.

 

Duties:

 

? Electrical support in a Manufacturing Engineering environment (Sr Engineer Position)

? Coordinates between multiple electrical design groups for manufacturing projects primarily in Tulsa.

? Experienced in all phases of project implementation: Design ? Manufacturing Processes - Field Support to improve quality of the design.

? Basic knowledge of analog and digital circuitry including power switching up to 2 KWatts and 8 bit microprocessors operation

? Knowledge of Electro-Mechanical device integration including Solenoid, Motor and Alternators products.

? Experienced in EMC test and mitigation techniques.

? UL and CE safety design standards, such as leakage, creepage, clearance and wiring requirements.

? Evaluate alternative solutions to specific design problems and conduct necessary research as required for problem analysis and resolution. 

? Recommend design modifications as indicated by test and usage results data.

? Assist buyers in procuring the lowest cost components which meet performance criteria. Suggest design changes to allow for lower cost components when possible.

? Participate in vendor selection for components and second manufacturing sources. Conduct Failure Mode and Effects Analysis and generate test design.

? Create engineering change notices. Review and sign off revised drawings.

? Contribute design support for existing products and suggest design modifications. Provide technical support to  sales, marketing, field service, quality assurance and manufacturing departments.

? Design validation test procedures and implementation.

? Design and implement basic Test Fixtures and Procedures for Design Engineering projects.

? Design and system integration analysis for production efficiency and failure trend analyses for projects.

? Familiar with Manufacturing Process Controls and Technical Documentation methods.

? Occasional travel to field sites to investigate product issues.

? Fitness Industry experiences a plus.

 

 

Education: Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or related scientific discipline from a four - Year College or technical school plus a minimum of ten years related professional work experience in an electrical engineering manufacturing environment.

 

Communication:  Read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or government regulations; write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals; present information effectively; and respond to questions appropriately from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.
