Sr Engineer Computer

Major Focus of Position: Perform moderately complex software/systems engineering design and analysis. Provide technical leadership in design, development, training, performance, and delivery of software/systems.Required Skills:


Develop, modify, and maintain software applications on client/server platforms (UNIX, Linux, Windows).
Develop verification and validation reports for new/modified software.
Verify engineering work of, and provide technical guidance to junior software/analysis engineers.
Communicate effectively (oral and written) with internal and external customers/engineering groups.
Integrate project team efforts across multifunctional areas.
Provide expert user support for the implementation of new/modified software in the engineering *environment within Westinghouse and at customer sites.
Develop and implement training programs for new/modified software and present the training at customer sites.
Identify and provide improvements/innovations in software engineering processes and technology, including software tools and languages.
Serve as resource with expert knowledge of specific software/systems.
Engineer-in-Training certificate is desirable for selected positions.Experience Requirements:

Bachelors Degree
*Computer Engineering
*Nuclear EngineeringKnowledge and experience on the Common Q Platform:
Programming of ABB AC-160 product platform
Programming of QNX based Node Box and building displays
Testing and troubleshooting of Common Q equipment
Knowledge of processes and standards in programming safety systems for nuclear plants (i.e. IEEE 7-4.3.2)
