Sr. Engineer - Electrical Distribution Projects

Undergraduate degree in engineering and a Professional Engineers License (Electrical) in the State of California, and a minimum of eight years or more experience related to the design, engineering, and planning of electric power transmission and distribution systems is required. Successful candidate must have thorough knowledge in the area of power system engineering, detailed knowledge of applicable regulations, standards, codes, power system analysis software packages, practices and have ability to apply advanced engineering principles to identify and resolve complex issues. Position requires strong demonstrated leadership skills and ability, and track record of demonstrate past leadership performance in the following areas: coaching, training, and mentoring of new or inexperienced employee. Successful candidate must also be familiar with project management concepts and demonstrate ability to plan, prioritize, schedule, and coordinate multiple projects. Demonstrate excellent communication skills are essential as well as the ability to prepare detailed engineering studies and reports, make oral presentations, and have ability to explain complex technical concepts in simple terms to both technical and non- technical personnel. Successful candidate should also be proficient in the use of the following power system analysis software packages: PSLF, A Bank Program, VAR program, EZ trend, ET Tools, E Map, OMS, Harris, Excel, Access, EndCost, CSS, MDI and Autocad.
