Sr Engineer, Process

Job Description Job FunctionProvide scientific and technical support to clinical and commercial manufacturing in Cambridge, MA. Monitor and improve upstream manufacturing by utilizing advanced process monitoring and statistical analysis tools. Work within the Manufacturing Sciences cell culture group, and closely with the global Data Systems, Technical Development, and Information Technology groups, in order to organize and analyze large data sets from bi-site manufacturing. Summarize and communicate results with Manufacturing and Development colleagues in order to support technology transfer and investigation teams, identify opportunities for improved process control, and increase the campaign success rate.

Qualifications
Expertise with mammalian cell culture and bioreactors in a cGMP manufacturing environment is preferred and experience with downstream purification and/or analytical techniques is desirable. Knowledge of statistical process control and optimization, data set handling, and experimental design is required. Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team is required.

Education
A Masters Degree in a relevant science or engineering discipline, with 4-8 years of related industry experience; or a PhD in the area of process system/bioreactor engineering with 0-4 years of industry experience.
