Sr. Engineer: Resource Estimation
The successful candidate should have 8+ years mining experience and a BS Degree in Geology or Engineering.
Proficiency with Vulcan. Background with mineral resource modeling required.
Perform mineral resource estimation and ore body studies in compliance with Barrick Gold?s Geological Process using geostatistical techniques.
Create 3D resource models of various deposits to support the geology and engineering groups.
Provide required levels of support for mine operations, exploration, and technical services groups.
Establish and report ore resources for individual deposits on regular basis.
Analyze and model mineralization controls.
Support the application of ore body models with regards to mine operations and exploration programs. This includes reconciliation analysis and reporting.
Position closes August 4, 2006
Pre-placement physicals are required and safe work history is a must.
