Job Description:


The Senior Test Hardware Engineer will be responsible for:
- Board level analog and digital design / modification
- Creating and documenting verification, characterization, and test procedures in collaboration with

internal and external teams
- Design/modify high volume production testers

- Lead improvements for throughput and utilization.

- Work with vendors to qualify and buy off new test equipments.
- Additional duties include support for training and transfer of equipment and processes to manufacturing.




Education:
MSEE or equivalent is required.

 

Required Experience:

- Must have at least 5 years experience in fundamental electrical engineering skills plus expertise in

analog and digital circuit design.

- Understanding of Read/Write channel processing, disk drive components is a preferred.

- Understanding of test technology used with media manufacturing is preferred.
- Understanding of manufacturing test environment requirements and issues.

 

Required Skills:

- Ability to design, modify, and troubleshoot analog and digital electronic circuitry.

- Ability to effectively use oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzer and network analyzers
- Strong understanding of Thin Film media test and measurement equipment
- Strong project management skills.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Project coordination skills from concept to execution in manufacturing.

- Ability to work with others and function as part of a worldwide team.

- Must possess the ability to design experiments and demonstrate analytical skills
