Responsibilities

* Incumbent will be responsible for developing new test methods to characterize the performance of IOLs.

* Identifying/developing appropriate IOL performance measures to establish pre-clinical efficacy.

* Serving as Technical Services representative on projects and program teams; serving as Project Team Leader.

* Developing and maintaining procedural documentation (PROCs) for existing and new test methods.

* Conducting performance characterization testing on new and existing IOLs

* Training Technical Services personnel on new and existing test methods; conducting computer system validations on new and existing test systems

* Writing technical reports on test method development and IOL performance characterizations

* Maintaining awareness of new technological developments in the characterization of IOLs

* Prepare detailed project plans to meet project objectives; providing technical leadership; preparing technical presentations and publications; and writing monthly reports and project updates.

Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in one of the engineering sciences and ten or more years of engineering experience, four of which must be in the pharmaceutical or medical device industry.

* Master's degree in one of the engineering sciences and eight or more years applicable experience; two of which must be in the pharmaceutical or medical device industry.
