Sr Front End IC CAD Engineer

We are seeking a Sr Front End IC CAD Engineer for our San Jose area client

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design/enhance, implementation and support of complex front end design flows (block and chip level integration-RTL through physical implementation) for state-of-the-art, high-performance ICs.
- Work with external EDA vendors to evaluate and integrate the latest cutting edge tools
- Use of top-of-the-line EDA tools, coupled with scripts/flows to deliver formal verification, synthesis, DFT and static timing analysis.

QUALIFICATIONS:
-*Only candidates residing in the Bay area (SiV) will be considered
- Master's or better in EE, CE or equivalent
- 5+ years of IC CAD engineering semiconductor industry experience
- Very strong scripting skills(Perl, tcl and UNIX shell programming, in that order) then C/C++
- Experience with tools such as RTL Compiler, Design Compiler, Prime Time, Physical Compiler, Formality, etc.
- Strong general knowledge of the overall ASIC design flow, methodologies (synthesis, static timing, formal verification, DFT) and solid knowledge of corresponding front end EDA tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, in order to work well with internal as well as external customers/vendors.

DESIRABLE:
- Experience working with EDA Vendors (Synopsys, Cadence, Mentor)
- Previous tools development experience
- Previous experience working on large Chips
